Lazio are preparing to move on from goalkeeper Matteo Cancellieri and are reportedly interested in signing Frosinone’s standout winger, Fares Ghedjemis.

Matteo Cancellieri on His Way Out of Lazio

The Biancocelesti are also expected to retain Danish winger Gustav Isaksen, who has caught the attention of Gennaro Gattuso. Isaksen is likely to become Lazio’s first‑choice right winger, providing competition for the departing Cancellieri, who has been linked with Olympiacos, Fiorentina and Torino.

Lazio Interested in Fares Ghedjemis

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the club has opened talks about Ghedjemis, one of Serie B’s top performers last season. The French‑Algerian was instrumental in Frosinone’s promotion, scoring 15 goals and adding three assists in 37 league matches, helping the side finish second.

The newspaper reports that Lazio consider a €10 million fee excessive, but the club’s representatives are still exploring a deal on more favorable terms.

Ghedjemis’ Career Path & Preferred Position

Ghedjemis began his career at Troyes and later played for Le Havre, Evreux, Vannes and Rouen before joining Frosinone in January 2024 for an estimated €300 000. His contract runs until June 2028. The 23‑year‑old left‑footed player primarily operates as an inverted right winger, but he can also feature on the opposite flank or as an attacking midfielder.
