The upcoming animated film KPop Demon Hunters, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, will soon be adapted into a LEGO building set that showcases the movie’s supernatural creatures, the Derpy Tiger and the Sussie Bird.
Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the movie premiered on Netflix on June 20, 2025, and quickly became the most‑viewed title in the platform’s history, amassing 325.1 million views and 541.8 million viewing hours within its first three months.

The Derpy Tiger Features Dual Expressions
According to LEGO, the Derpy Tiger in the set can be built with two distinct facial expressions: a goofy grin or a tender love‑note on its tongue.
The model includes movable parts, two love notes, and a flowerpot that the tiger can knock over.
LEGO has indicated that additional building sets based on KPop Demon Hunters are planned for release in 2027.
The set, recommended for ages 9 and up, comprises 825 pieces and is priced at $69.99. Pre‑orders are now available on LEGO’s retail website, with shipments scheduled to begin on August 1.
Rated PG, KPop Demon Hunters features voice performances by Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji‑young Yoo as the HUNTR/X trio Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, while EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami provide the characters’ singing parts.
A sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is currently in development at Netflix, with a targeted release date of 2029.
