Singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi reportedly treated an entire pub of England supporters to drinks after their dramatic 3-2 World Cup win against Mexico in London.
Capaldi was spotted at the Marlborough pub in Mayfair alongside Rita Ora during the match. Despite Scotland’s early exit from the tournament, the artist reportedly paid for every drink ordered by fans as the final whistle blew.
“Lewis covered the tab for everyone in the pub. The total came to nearly £2,000,” said a patron. “It was an incredible gesture, especially from someone who supports Scotland. He was genuinely kind to everyone who approached him.”

Ora shared videos of the lively atmosphere, writing: “NOTHING beats a London pub game EVER… It’s coming home!!! The fact I woke up with my hair clips in and my hair has not moved says. Watch it till the end… trust me.”
The duo also sang each other’s songs and joined fans in celebratory chants of “Football’s coming home” after England’s victory. Capaldi is set to headline BST Hyde Park on July 11 and 12, with supporting acts including The Vaccines and Nieve Ella.
England will face Norway in the World Cup quarter-finals on July 11, coinciding with Capaldi’s first BST Hyde Park performance.
