Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad Spotted on Commercial EasyJet Flight Following Belgian GP

Following the conclusion of the Belgian Grand Prix, Racing Bulls teammates Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad surprised onlookers by traveling on an easyJet flight. While Formula 1 is often synonymous with private jets and elite hospitality, the pair opted for commercial travel while returning from Spa-Francorchamps.

Lawson shared a selfie with his teammate on his Instagram Story, captioned simply, “Shoutout easyJet,” a post that quickly went viral across social media platforms.

The sighting sparked significant engagement online. “What are the odds of meeting two F1 drivers on a commercial flight?” one Reddit user remarked, while another enthusiast expressed appreciation for the relatability, stating, “I’m all for more of this. Good on both these boys.”

Some fans praised the grounded nature of the journey, with one commentator noting, “I love everything about this: that they’re flying together and that they’re flying a cheaper airline. As the season goes on, I’m loving this team more and more.”

Others jokingly attributed the choice to F1’s financial regulations. “VCARB must be getting dangerously close to a cost cap breach,” one user teased, while another quipped, “Any more cost cap restrictions and they’ll be flying Ryanair.” Additional comments touched on environmental concerns, with one fan noting, “Super respectable imo. Private jets are killing our planet.”

On the track, Lindblad and Lawson finished ninth and 12th, respectively, after starting the race from seventh and ninth. “I think every weekend, I’m getting more comfortable, more competitive,” Lindblad told Sky Sports F1 after securing two points for the team. “I’d probably say the last weekend that was so complete was Canada, where unfortunately I wasn’t able to do the race. I don’t really know, to be honest, but I would just say that every time I get in the car, I feel better. Me and the engineers, we’re getting along really well, understanding each other. I’m really enjoying my time at the moment. The team is doing a really good job to continue to bring performance to the car and it’s showing on track.”
