Lil Yachty detailed how his association with a WWE Superstar has profoundly improved his life.
The rapper and songwriter states that WWE star Trick Williams has positively transformed his lifestyle. Having made regular appearances on SmackDown alongside the current United States Champion for several months, Yachty has also been involved in multiple television angles.
During the recent Sunday Night’s Main Event, Lil Yachty made his WWE in-ring debut, competing against Baron Corbin in a five-minute beat-the-clock challenge. Yachty successfully survived the challenge, which earned Trick Williams a United States title match against Corbin. In the meantime, Yachty opened up about his real-life relationship with the wrestler.
Lil Yachty Discusses How the WWE Champion Changed His Life
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insights, Lil Yachty reflected on his relationship with the current WWE United States Champion, Trick Williams. Yachty referred to Trick as his brother:
That is like my brother. That relationship, I couldn’t have paid for it. I couldn’t have asked for it. That was like dropped down from God. I couldn’t have asked for that friendship, man. That guy, he’s been the most positive influence on my life I’ve ever had, and I’ve always wanted an older brother like that.”
Yachty further elaborated on how Trick Williams assisted in improving his lifestyle both on and off the camera:
He’s really helped change my life for the better. Not only with the wrestling stuff and the opportunity, I’m grateful for that too. But off camera, just my health and training, and just the way he lives his life. I come from rap. It’s dark. We live a different life. I’m up all night. It’s a lot of dr*gs and women, and it’s just a different lifestyle.”
The rapper also described how surrounding himself with Trick Williams and adhering to his daily routine has fundamentally shifted his perspective:
With Trick it is really routine, schedule, really healthy, really clean, on point, just a structured guy. Just being around him has really reshifted my brain in so many ways of life that he would never even know or understand because it’s just an image I haven’t had around being in studios with rappers and in the club or whatever. Lil Yachty also disclosed how physically beaten up he felt following his first wrestling match against Baron Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event.
