Detroit Lions edge rusher DJ Wonnum was carted off the field late in the second quarter following a helmet-to-helmet collision with teammate Brian Branch. Both players were attempting to tackle Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson after a completion.
Branch walked off under his own power but proceeded directly to the locker room for further evaluation. The incident adds to a growing list of casualties for Detroit in the first half. Center Cade Mays is questionable to return with an ankle injury, while running back Jacob Saylors is also questionable due to a neck issue.
The Vikings hold a 7-3 lead with two minutes remaining in the second quarter.
