At Ibrox, Hibernian took an early lead against Rangers in the 5th minute through Boyle. Rangers responded in the 41st minute when Thelo Aasgard scored from a free-kick, leaving the score at 1-1 at halftime. Rangers had statistically dominated the first half despite the level scoreline.
In the Motherwell-Celtic clash, Motherwell initially took the lead in the 17th minute courtesy of Watt. Celtic struggled to find their rhythm, failing to register a shot on target for much of the first half, despite Motherwell enjoying more possession, shots, and corners. However, Daizen Maeda equalized for Celtic in the 41st minute, capitalizing on a challenge mid-half that sent the ball directly into his path inside the area. Motherwell eventually found their equalizer to make it 2-2 through Liam Gordon, who scored from six yards after a chaotic sequence of shots followed a right-wing cross. In the 90+1 minute, Regan Charles-Cook reached the byline for Motherwell but could not pick out a teammate in the penalty area. Five minutes of stoppage time were added at Motherwell.
At Tynecastle, Hearts established an early lead against Falkirk. Kent opened the scoring in the 30th minute, followed by Cameron Devlin doubling their advantage just four minutes later, capitalizing on a move initiated by Claudio Braga. Hearts displayed a classy performance with good interplay and movement.
