Liverpool Stand Firm on Curtis Jones Valuation as Inter Milan and Juventus Circle for Midfielder

Curtis Jones’ future at Liverpool has emerged as a key transfer talking point this summer, with Inter Milan and Juventus tracking the midfielder closely.

The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Anfield, naturally fueling speculation about a potential exit. Inter have maintained their interest since January and have made multiple attempts to sign him, though Liverpool have consistently rejected offers reportedly valued around £21m, holding out for closer to £35m.

While talkSPORT reports Jones has expressed interest in leaving, Liverpool remain resolute in not accepting a cut-price deal. The situation is further complicated by Juventus entering the race, though financial constraints may limit their ability to match Liverpool’s valuation.

Sources indicate Inter remain the strongest contenders given their long-standing interest. The Italian champions view Jones as a technically secure, tactically flexible midfielder who could thrive in Serie A, capable of playing as a No.8, carrying the ball through midfield, and pressing with intensity.

Liverpool’s position is clear: they believe Jones is worth significantly more than Inter’s current offers, particularly in light of the market for Premier League midfielders commanding substantial fees.

The club are right to maintain their stance. Though Jones isn’t an automatic starter, he remains homegrown and Premier League proven, with value that extends beyond his current role. However, the risk of losing him for nothing next summer adds pressure, giving interested clubs hope of negotiation.

Accepting anything below £30m would likely feel unsatisfactory from Liverpool’s perspective. If Serie A clubs want him, they’ll need to substantially improve their offers. Otherwise, retaining Jones and reassessing his role under new manager Andoni Iraola may prove the smarter strategic move.
