Luke Bryan Brings New Album ‘Signs’ to the Late-Night Stage

Luke Bryan appeared on The Tonight Show to perform his song, “Signs.” The country star showcased the mid-tempo number alongside his band, delivering an energetic rendition of the track from his newly released album of the same name. He also discussed how he celebrated the album launch alongside Chris Stapleton.

During his appearance, Bryan sat down with host Jimmy Fallon to discuss the album, which was released on September 18. The 12-track project was produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens and features the radio hit “Country and She Knows It.” Bryan also highlighted “Signs,” a song written by Jody Stevens, Patrick Murphy, Jason Duke, Tommy Cecil, and Jon Mills, which he first shared back in August.

The singer detailed the celebratory album release concert held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, which featured Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Darius Rucker, Chris Stapleton, and Carrie Underwood.

“It was an amazing night, but Chris Stapleton actually wrote one of my songs, ‘Drink a Beer,’ which was historically one of my most emotional tracks,” Bryan told Fallon. “That was before Chris became the Chris we know today, and he actually performed it with me at the CMA Awards, serving as the background singer on the original record. So we finally got to share a really intimate moment.”

He further remarked, “I have him as my number one on Mount Rushmore, by the way. He’s my favorite singer. He really stares at you while he’s singing with you because he’s watching your lips. As he’s watching your lips, it’s very intimidating, and then the whole I’m kind of falling in love.”

Bryan recently confirmed that he will return to American Idol as a judge alongside Underwood and Lionel Richie for Season 25. After two decades in Hollywood, the reality competition show is set to move to Georgia for its upcoming seasons.
