Terra Classic’s recurring burn mechanism continues to yield positive results for Binance. The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume recently destroyed another 334 million LUNC tokens, bolstering the community’s deflationary initiatives.
Cumulative LUNC Burns Edge Toward 90 Billion
The most recent token incineration event has propelled Binance’s total LUNC burn tally closer to the 90 billion milestone. However, significant progress remains, as 5.52 trillion LUNC tokens are currently in circulation—a decrease of nearly 1 trillion from the original 6.42 trillion supply, according to on-chain data. Some community trackers report a lower figure due to omissions in fee-tax flows.
The mechanism is straightforward: trading fees collected on Binance are converted and incinerated each month. This consistent supply reduction compounds over time, gradually alleviating the altcoin’s historically excessive minting. However, demand remains an unresolved factor.
Recent network upgrades for Terra Classic have failed to stimulate stagnant trading volumes. In mid-May of last year, the v4.0.1 mainnet software update was marketed as a stability enhancement, yet volume dropped from hundreds of millions to just tens of millions shortly after the deployment.
LUNC Price Rises Softly on Wallet Integration
After months of ecosystem stagnation, the Terra Classic community has received a much-needed adoption boost. Guarda, a widely used self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet, recently integrated Luna Classic’s blockchain into its ecosystem, enabling holders to securely store LUNC using their own private keys.

Meanwhile, Binance’s recent initiatives to accelerate LUNC’s recovery have advanced significantly. The global exchange resumed both LUNC deposit and withdrawal services in August, capturing trading volume that has shifted toward the DeFi sector. Following this announcement, LUNC surged by 1% to trade at $0.0000509.
