(RTTNews) – Lupin Limited (LUPIN) has entered into a strategic partnership with Tenpoint Therapeutics to commercialize YUVEZZI, the first once‑daily dual‑agent eye drop approved for presbyopia, across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland.
Presbyopia, a prevalent age‑related condition that diminishes near‑vision clarity, impacts millions of adults globally. YUVEZZI, which combines carbachol with brimonidine tartrate, provides a novel therapeutic approach aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and expanding access to differentiated eye‑care solutions.
Under the terms of the deal, Lupin’s subsidiary VISUfarma will oversee regulatory affairs, marketing, and distribution within the licensed regions, while Tenpoint and Visus Therapeutics stand to receive milestone payments and tiered royalties tied to net sales.
Lupin CEO Vinita Gupta noted that the collaboration bolsters the company’s specialty‑care focus and extends its vision‑care footprint throughout Europe.
Tenpoint CEO Henric Bjarke described the partnership as a pivotal move to bring YUVEZZI to millions of patients and eye‑care professionals worldwide.
Adding YUVEZZI strengthens Lupin’s ophthalmology lineup and reinforces its dedication to advancing specialty care via innovative therapies that meet unmet patient needs.
Over the past year, LUPIN shares have ranged from INR 1,774 to INR 2,249.30, and the stock is presently trading at INR 2,195.05, down 0.41%.
