Mac Davis Counters GCW Narrative on JCW Crossover Viewership

Mac Davis disputed the assertion that Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) is solely responsible for driving viewership to JCW during the promotion’s Lunacy 99 post-show. Davis contended that the talent exchange is mutually beneficial, arguing that visiting performers gain significant exposure from JCW’s established audience.

The debate arose amid an ongoing storyline involving GCW personnel. Davis referenced comments made by GCW’s Brett Lauderdale during backstage segments suggesting GCW was bringing eyes to the product. Davis characterized that framing as dismissive of the work invested by JCW’s roster and production team.

“If anybody’s getting a rub, it’s you guys getting a rub from JCW.”

Davis clarified that his frustration stemmed not from the presence of GCW wrestlers, but from the perception that the partnership favors JCW unilaterally. Co-host Jeff Lane acknowledged the visiting wrestlers’ effectiveness in drawing heat and fulfilling their roles as antagonists.
