Mad Cool Festival has unveiled an upgraded transportation plan for its 2026 edition, introducing extended services and special travel options to facilitate smooth movement for attendees between the event and surrounding areas.

The 2026 edition, marking the festival’s 10th anniversary, will run from July 8 to 11 at the Iberdrola Music Villaverde venue, featuring headliners such as Pulp, Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, alongside a diverse lineup of emerging and established artists.

Organizers have also revealed the new site map and key updates, including a streamlined stage layout, enhanced visual displays, and additional shaded areas to improve the attendee experience.

To address attendee mobility, the festival has collaborated with Madrid City Council, the Government Delegation, and law enforcement agencies to implement extended public transport services. Madrid Metro Line 3 will operate until 2am on Thursday and until 3am from Friday to Sunday, serving Villaverde Alto station before connecting to Legazpi, Embajadores, and Sol stations. Cercanías Line C4 will extend its service from midnight to 2am on Thursday and until 3:30am from Friday to Sunday, offering free, direct shuttles from Villaverde Alto to Atocha for return journeys. Free shuttle buses will also run from the festival grounds to Madrid city center during peak hours.

Additional transport options include bus lines 22, 79, T41, and N14 connecting attendees to Villaverde Alto and adjacent neighborhoods. A dedicated taxi rank will be located at Calle San Eustaquio between Calle San Norberto and Calle Resina de Villaverde, while pre-booked private hires are directed to Calle Valle de Tobalina near Calle San Ezequiel. Safety measures such as fencing, clear signage, and on-site stewards will ensure smooth and secure movement for festival-goers.

The 2026 lineup features major acts including Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, CMAT, Wolf Alice, Jennie, Moby, The Last Dinner Party, Kings Of Leon, The War On Drugs, Halsey, Teddy Swims, Pixies, The Black Crowes, and David Byrne. Emerging artists Liens Très Dengereux, Yulie, Ksal, and Color will also perform following their victory in the Mad Cool DJ Talent presented by Vibra Mahou.
