Maddie Hasson Cast as Series Regular Opposite Julia Garner and Lewis Pullman in Apple TV’s ‘Guilty Creatures’

EXCLUSIVE: Maddie Hasson is set as a series regular opposite Julia Garner in Apple TV’s thriller drama Guilty Creatures, from director Craig Gillespie, showrunner Stuart Zicherman and Tomorrow Studios.

In addition to Garner, Hasson joins previously announced Lewis Pullman.

Adapted for the screen by Sarah DeLappe from Mikita Brottman’s true‑crime book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida, the series unfolds against a backdrop of sex and murder in the Florida panhandle. It delves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God‑fearing lovers—believed to be played by Garner and Pullman—who must grapple with the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years.

Guilty Creatures is produced by Tomorrow Studios (partner of ITV Studios), in development through a first‑look deal with Garner’s Alma Margo and Gillespie’s Fortunate Jack Productions. Executive producers are Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner (Tomorrow Studios), Garner (Alma Margo), showrunner Stuart Zicherman, Sarah DeLappe, Mikita Brottman, director Craig Gillespie and Annie Marter (Fortunate Jack Productions).

Hasson can most recently be seen leading Mercedes Bryce Morgan’s survival thriller Bone Lake. She was a series regular in Netflix’s The Recruit and starred in James Wan’s New Line horror film Malignant, the indie drama Taurus opposite Machine Gun Kelly, Scoot McNairy and Megan Fox, and Sony Classics’ Novitiate opposite Margaret Qualley and Melissa Leo. She’ll next appear in the limited series The Altruists from the Obamas’ Higher Ground productions. Hasson is represented by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Yorn Levine Barnes et al.
