Madonna, Stuart Price, and daughter Lourdes performed at London’s ‘Club Confessions’ album launch, showcasing a 40-year-old track live for the first time. The event preceded the release of her 15th studio album, ‘Confessions II.’
The album, a sequel to 2005’s ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor,’ reunites Madonna with Price, who co-created the original. It marks her first release since 2019’s ‘Madame X.’ Meanwhile, ‘Confessions II’ continues exploring themes of relationships, with Lourdes contributing vocals on ‘The Test’—a track co-written with her mother to mend their bond.
Performances at the London event featured Madonna and Price mixing tracks, with Madonna revisiting her debut album’s ‘Danceteria’ and debuting the reworked ‘Physical Attraction’—a song from her early 1980s era. pandemia’s iconic dance sequence was recreated, underscoring Madonna’s enduring influence on dance culture.
Footage from the night captured Madonna interacting with the crowd, while DJ sets from Price, Honey Dijon, Jodie Harsh, and Horse Meat Disco energized the venue. An Instagram carousel displayed clips from the party, including Madonna’s lively performance of ‘Vogue’ excerpts and Lourdes’ cameo in the booth.
‘Confessions II’ also features Sabrina Carpenter on ‘Bring Your Love,’ a leading single, and ‘I Feel So Free,’ praised by NME as a “hedonistic deep house-flavoured floor-filler.” The album’s club-focused sound aligns with Madonna’s history of blending pop with electronic and dance elements.
Previous ‘Club Confessions’ events in Los Angeles and Paris highlighted Madonna’s global appeal, with appearances by Addison Rae and Charli XCX. The London party followed this trend, reinforcing her reputation as a performer who reinvents herself while honoring her roots.
A short film accompanying ‘Confessions II’ includes cameos from Sabrina Carpenter, Kate Moss, and Ridley Scott. Madonna has hinted at future projects, joking about “something bigger” post-album and teasing a possible Glastonbury 2027 performance.
