Ainsley Maitland-Niles produced a remarkable stoppage-time strike to earn Everton a hard-fought draw against Manchester United at Goodison Park.
The first half ended goalless, but the match erupted into life after the interval with both teams trading goals in a thrilling second-half encounter.
Bryan Mbeumo broke the deadlock for Manchester United early in the second half, finding the net with a sublime finish in the 47th minute to give the visitors the lead.

However, Everton responded emphatically in the 83rd minute when Tyrique George, who joined the club from Chelsea during the summer transfer window, unleashed a spectacular strike into the top corner to level the scores at 1-1.

Everton’s joy was short-lived, though, as United restored their advantage just five minutes later. Luke Shaw delivered an excellent cross into the box, where Benjamin Sesko rose highest to power a header past Jordan Pickford, making it 2-1 to the visitors.

With what appeared to be a certain victory for Manchester United, Everton staged a dramatic late comeback. Deadline day signing Maitland-Niles, formerly of Arsenal, produced an outstanding curling effort from outside the penalty area deep into stoppage time to make it 2-2 and secure a crucial point for his new club.
