Hong Kong police have detained a 34‑year‑old man after three suspected pinhole cameras were discovered in the changing rooms of a Sha Tin gym.
The arrest on Sunday followed an investigation launched the previous day into a suspected voyeurism incident at the 24/7 Fitness location on Lek Yuen Street.
A police spokesperson said officers apprehended the suspect, a local resident, in Sha Tin, and he remains in custody while the investigation continues.
According to reports, the suspect is a gym member whose membership was suspended after the cameras were found.
Authorities were alerted on Friday after a suspected pinhole camera, affixed with black tape to the false ceiling of a changing room, was discovered at the fitness centre.
