Hong Kong police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged robbery attempt at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, where a victim claimed to have been struck with a rock early Saturday.
At approximately 4:10am, a 36-year-old man reported being assaulted while parking his vehicle at the terminal. Police stated the suspect hurled a rock at him in an alleged robbery bid before fleeing without taking anything.
The injured man later proceeded to Tsing Yi Road in Tsing Yi and contacted authorities. He sustained head injuries and received treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung.
Following an initial investigation and analysis of security footage, officers detained a 30-year-old male suspect at a residence on Shing Fung Road, Kai Tak, charging him with attempted robbery.
