Manchester United are eager to sign a new left‑back to complement Luke Shaw this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Manchester United have already secured midfielder Ederson from Atalanta and anticipate his arrival after the World Cup when he will be representing Brazil.
The club is also pursuing another midfielder, with reports indicating ongoing talks with West Ham United regarding Matthew Fernandes.
In addition, United intend to strengthen their defence by targeting Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall as the leading candidate for the left‑back role.
Hall has signaled openness to a move, and United are expected to prioritize a left‑back signing over a new left winger this summer.
Patrick Dorgu, a left‑sided winger who has performed well alongside Matheus Cunha, may be deployed higher up the pitch next season.
United have no intention of adding another attacking player, as Dorgu has demonstrated strong potential.
