Meanwhile, Chelsea have seen three separate bids rejected by Bournemouth this summer in their pursuit of 23-year-old England midfielder Alex Scott.

In the Championship, Hull have offered €21m (£17.9m) for Union Berlin and Germany U21 forward Ilyas Ansah, with contract discussions reportedly reaching an advanced stage.

As the transfer window nears its close, AC Milan are weighing up a late move for Manchester United and Morocco defender Noussair Mazraoui, 28.

Finally, Monza are prepared to offer a one-year contract to former Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli, 30, who has been a free agent since his departure from Como in September 2025.
