Manchester United are reportedly preparing a winter approach for Joaquin Seys to bolster their left-back department.
During the previous summer transfer window, the Red Devils made efforts to secure a new left-back but ultimately failed to finalize a deal. Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall was among the players they pursued, though he was ultimately unavailable for transfer. Although Seys was also evaluated near the end of the window, Club Brugge chose to retain him for an additional season.
NOW, according to recent reports, United remain undeterred and are actively considering a renewed attempt to acquire the Belgian defender during the January transfer window, despite Club Brugge’s apparent reluctance to sell. The urgency for reinforcements at left-back has grown, particularly due to ongoing fitness concerns surrounding Luke Shaw, who has struggled with injuries this campaign. Meanwhile, Patrick Dorgu, viewed primarily as an attacking option, has offered limited assurance in a defensive role and is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury. In response, United appear set to prioritize securing a reliable left-back, with Seys remaining a potential target for a formal bid by year’s end.
