Manchester United remain actively engaged in negotiations to secure the transfer of Leicester City’s highly-rated young talent, Louis Page.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with Page as the summer transfer window drew to a close, but were ultimately unable to finalise a deal before the deadline passed.

Nevertheless, a recent report from the Manchester Evening News indicates that Manchester United are still determined to sign the 18-year-old, and that they are confident a move can be completed.

Louis Page could prove to be a shrewd acquisition for Manchester United

Page has already featured in 22 matches for Leicester and has established himself as a regular for England at youth level, making it entirely understandable that he has attracted attention from top-tier clubs.

Manchester United have frequently overspent on transfers in recent seasons, and would benefit from prioritising recruitment strategies of this nature to secure premier talent at a reasonable cost.

A player of Page’s calibre appears well-suited to succeed at Old Trafford, and even if he were to fall short, his market value would likely appreciate considerably during his time there, potentially enabling MUFC to command a substantial fee in any future sale.
