Manchester United are expected to part ways with defender Lisandro Martínez at the end of the season, according to The Daily Mail.
The Argentine recently criticised sporting director Jason Wilcox over insufficient investment, insisting the squad requires higher-calibre players.
Although Martínez avoided disciplinary action for his comments, his long-term future at Old Trafford remains uncertain beyond the current campaign.
Martínez’s contract expires next June, though United hold an option to extend it by 12 months, the report adds.
The club is widely expected to trigger that extension, potentially paving the way for a sale next summer.
No concrete offers have materialised yet, but Atlético Madrid have long admired the World Cup winner dating back to his Ajax days and could emerge as leading suitors.
United will aim to recoup a significant portion of the £57 million invested in his services.
