Canada’s real estate magnate David Morton and his family were violently attacked by three masked intruders during a brazen home invasion at their luxury Bridle Path residence in Toronto, leaving multiple family members with serious injuries, authorities confirmed Thursday.
Morton, CEO of the MAC Group, sustained gunshot wounds alongside his two daughters, while his wife Doriana Zohil-Morton was struck with a hammer during the terrifying ordeal, according to Toronto Police Inspector Kristy Smith.
“A violent struggle occurred when suspects fired multiple shots and one victim was struck with a hammer,” Smith stated at a press conference, emphasizing the harrowing nature of the attack.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning when the perpetrators forced entry through a secured back door in one of Toronto’s most exclusive neighborhoods. Police have not released detailed descriptions of the suspects but confirmed they fled the scene in an SUV.

The mayor further emphasized, “This brazen act has shaken our community. We stand united in support of law enforcement efforts to bring these criminals to justice.”
