As the casualty count in Nepal escalates, daily recoveries continue, yet a significant number of victims remain unidentified. Days after catastrophic floods struck, numerous remains have reached advanced stages of decomposition. To mitigate severe health hazards and pervasive odors, authorities have initiated burial procedures without formal identification. FRANCE 24’s special correspondents visited one of these burial grounds in Bharatpur, southern Nepal.
