The 1975 lead singer Matty Healy and model Gabbriette Bechtel have married in Los Angeles.
The pair announced their engagement in 2024 after nine months of dating and exchanged vows on Saturday.
A statement from the couple’s representatives confirmed they were married “at a private ceremony in Los Angeles, attended by their family and close friends”.
Multiple US media reports indicate the wedding took place at Madonna’s former estate in the Hollywood Hills, with celebrities such as Charli XCX among the guests.
Bechtel, 28, and Healy, 37, were first linked months after his brief 2023 romance with Taylor Swift. That relationship is said to have inspired several tracks on Swift’s acclaimed album, The Tortured Poets Department.
In June 2024, Bechtel posted an Instagram photo showing a large black diamond ring on her finger.
She captioned it: “Marrying The 1975 is very brat.”
Healy’s mother, Loose Women presenter Denise Welch, later confirmed the engagement during a podcast appearance.
Footage of Healy performing with The 9075, a tribute act to The 1975, reportedly at his stag do, surfaced online after the event.
Bechtel also shared images from her Las Vegas hen-do, including one of her being handcuffed and carried onto a plane by a man in police costume.
Other pictures showed mock $100 bills strewn across the floor, Bechtel posing with burlesque performer Dita Von Teese, and dancing with an Elvis impersonator.
The American model is also a musician, serving as lead vocalist and songwriter for punk rock band Nasty Cherry, formed by Charli XCX. Her husband, George Daniel, plays drums for The 1975.
The 1975 are known for tracks such as Chocolate, Somebody Else, and Girls, and have scored five UK number one albums, including their 2013 self-titled debut, 2020’s Notes On A Conditional Form, and 2022’s Being Funny In A Foreign Language.
They headlined Glastonbury last year and have since entered an “indefinite hiatus” from live performance.
The BBC has contacted Healy and Bechtel for comment.
