Medvedev Explains Iran’s Strait of Hormuz Control Is Equivalent to Nuclear Arsenal

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, compared Iran’s capacity to block traffic through the Strait of Hormuz to the strategic deterrent of a nuclear weapon. The remarks, made in a video posted on social media, came as he returned from attending the funeral of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
