Emma Rafowicz, a French S&D MEP, has criticized President Emmanuel Macron’s administration, labeling its management of current student protests as “completely irresponsible.” Rafowicz contends that the majority of violence stems from police actions rather than the protesters, noting that the youth are “mobilising quite well.”
She further accused the government of avoiding the issue in hopes that the demonstrations will subside during the upcoming holidays. Additionally, Rafowicz highlighted the deteriorating state of French schools, pointing to issues such as collapsing ceilings and substandard food quality. According to the MEP, these conditions demonstrate a fundamental “disrespect for the young people.”
