PHILADELPHIA — After a challenging year, Mets right‑hander Kodai Senga still projects confidence in his ability to reclaim his dominant form.
“I believe that I can dominate,” Senga told The Post through his interpreter before the Mets faced the Phillies in Sunday night’s series finale. “I believe that I have all the power in the world to be a great pitcher in this league, and if I don’t believe that who will?”
The Mets first need a return to respectable play from their right‑hander, who will face the Cubs on Monday at Citi Field.
In a roster desperate for starting‑pitching improvements, the Mets are counting on Senga, who struggled in his return Tuesday after a six‑week rehab for lumbar spine inflammation and ulnar nerve irritation.
