Mexico City — The murder has cast a long shadow over Latin America for years.
In February 2023, Argentine model Agostina Jalabert, aged 31, was found dead in her apartment in the Mexican resort town of Playa del Carmen. Authorities later discovered her body in the bathroom, suspended by a neck from the towel rack.
