Mexican Navy Rescues Fishermen Adrift in Cool Box After Five Days at Sea

The Mexican Navy located and rescued two fishermen after they were reported missing five days prior.

Naval forces searched the Gulf of Mexico following a distress call from the men’s fishing cooperative on 15 August 2023.

The missing crew members, aged 53 and 32, were discovered suspended within a marine fish-storage cooler near Mexico’s Chiapas Coastline.

Upon recovery operations, doctors conducted health assessments before re-sending the survivors to their relatives.
