Microsoft Surpasses $4 Trillion Market Cap Amid Strong Performance
Microsoft (MSFT) stock climbed higher in early morning trading on Monday, helping propel the company’s market capitalization above the $4 trillion mark, joining the likes of Nvidia (NVDA), Apple (AAPL), and Google (GOOG, GOOGL), which have also eclipsed the number.
Microsoft first reached the milestone in July 2025 but fell below it late that October amid concerns about the hyperscaler’s AI spending and whether it would see a return on its investments, dampening investor enthusiasm.
Those fears have continued to die down as Microsoft and its rivals post strong quarterly earnings results.

The stock move comes on the same day Microsoft revealed its Azure Maia 300 AI chip at the OCP Global Summit in San Jose, Calif.
The processor is part of the company’s effort to reduce its dependence on Nvidia and AMD’s AI chips.
Microsoft also showed off its new Surface Laptop Ultra alongside partner Nvidia last week. The laptop is designed to let customers run high-powered AI models without connecting to the cloud.
