MicroStrategy (MSTR) has bolstered its cash reserves to $3.75 billion following a successful $544.5 million capital raise last week. According to Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, these funds provide sufficient liquidity to cover preferred stock dividends for approximately 2.1 years.
According to an SEC filing released Monday morning, the capital was generated through the sale of over 5.4 million shares of common stock. From these proceeds, the company allocated $25 million toward the repurchase of 288,930 shares of its high-yielding preferred stock, STRC.
The company’s Bitcoin holdings remain unchanged at 843,775 BTC. As Bitcoin climbed to $65,000 over the weekend, both MSTR and its STRC preferred stock saw pre-market gains of approximately 2.5%.
