The Knicks appear to be experiencing a familiar pattern of inconsistency, but this season the impact feels more pronounced.

During certain stretches, Mikal Bridges has been unable to generate scoring and often seems invisible in the box score, despite maintaining a streak of 641 consecutive NBA games played, including 166 as a New York Knick. While he has delivered memorable performances earlier in the year, his recent dip has become a defining feature of the team’s struggles.

When most players go through a slump, the effect is noticeable but not extreme. Bridges’ current funk, however, feels almost total, as if he has vanished from the offensive equation, leaving the Knicks to search for other sources of scoring.
