The Arizona Cardinals will turn to their third different starting quarterback in as many preseason games when they host the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday.

Head coach Mike LaFleur announced on Thursday that Gardner Minshew will receive the starting assignment against Dallas. Rookie Carson Beck started in the Hall of Fame Game, while Jacoby Brissett took the opening drive in last week’s contest.

Beck suffered rib injuries during the preseason opener and was held out of the team’s second game. LaFleur noted that Beck is expected to resume throwing activities on Thursday and remains technically eligible for this week’s matchup, though his participation appears unlikely.

While some of the team’s other starters will see action, first-round selection Jeremiyah Love will remain sidelined as the running back continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
