Australian national Cara Severino, who had been reported missing after a series of intense floods devastated parts of Nepal, was found safe and is communicating with Australian officials.
The office of Foreign Minister Penny Wong confirmed the development, noting that concerns remain for other Australian nationals still unaccounted for due to the scope of the flooding.
Severino expressed gratitude to the Nepali locals who assisted her during the crisis.
