Missing Foreign Nationals Amid China-Nepal Floods After Tibet Glacier Collapse

Tibetan authorities reported that the missing foreign nationals hail from 23 different countries, with 104 citizens of Nepal among them.

The list includes 49 Indians, 33 Latvians, 18 Americans, 15 British nationals, six each from Canada and Australia, four South Africans, three Germans, Malaysians, and Russians each, two Irish, Estonians, French, Dutch, and New Zealanders each, and one citizen each from Kazakhstan, Finland, Lithuania, Portugal, Ukraine, Spain, and Hungary.

China has confirmed 16 deaths following Wednesday’s glacier collapse and reports 546 individuals missing, while Nepal has identified 675 fatalities with 2,498 still unaccounted for.

China’s Sunday release marked the first country-specific breakdown of missing foreigners, with diplomatic missions from affected nations officially notified.

Local authorities confirmed no foreign survivors remain stranded in the affected region.
