The Latin Recording Academy is uniting its “In The Mix” event—organized by the Circle of Producers and Engineers—with Sebastián Krys’ celebrated Los Producers gala, creating a night to honor Latin music’s creative community.
The November 11 evening in Las Vegas, sponsored by BMI and produced by Krys, will feature a star‑filled lineup that includes Mon Laferte, Francisca Valenzuela, Fonseca, Yami Safdie, Lila Downs, Arath Herce, Kinky, Juanes and others, all taking part as part of the official Latin Grammys week.
A portion of proceeds will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, a cause close to Krys, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2019 and has long used his platform to raise awareness. During the gala Krys will be recognized for his decades‑long contributions to Latin music, having worked as producer and engineer with artists such as Shakira, Elvis Costello, Juanes, Ricky Martin and La Santa Cecilia, among many others. In his remarks Krys praised the collaborative spirit of Los Producers and highlighted the foundation’s impact, noting that more than $3 billion has been directed toward Parkinson’s research.
Gael Hedding, Chair of the Circle of Producers and Engineers, emphasized the synergy between the two events: “Great music thrives on collaboration, generosity and a shared commitment to excellence. Sebastián Krys embodies that spirit, and honoring him this year reflects our dedication to celebrating those who shape Latin music and inspire others.”
The Latin Grammys ceremony will follow on November 12, with Edgar Barrera, Karol G and Rosalía leading the nominations. Additional artists vying for Album of the Year include Anitta, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Jorge Drexler, Silvana Estrada, Mon Laferte, Carín León, Milo J and Rawayana, alongside Karol G and Rosalía.
