TOKYO — Renowned Japanese author Haruki Murakami releases a new novel in Japan on Friday, marking his first work centered on a female protagonist. In an interview with Nikkei, Murakami remarked, “It feels like the right moment to explore a family narrative, a theme I have seldom addressed.”
