A new report from Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline has provided an update on Mustafa Ali’s condition following his TNA International Championship victory at Lockdown.
The champion sustained a punctured lung and fractured ribs during his bout against Jason Hotch. Initial speculation pointed to a dangerous spot where Hotch leapt off the cage and Ali landed on a table, but Alvarez clarified that the injury did not result from that high‑risk maneuver. Instead, it occurred from an accidental bump that happens routinely in wrestling matches.
Apparently whatever it was that resulted in Ali fracturing his ribs and puncturing his lung, it was NOT the high cross spot off the top of the cage. It was, as is often the case in wrestling, just some random bump in the match.
Ali appeared on the August 27 edition of IMPACT via a video feed from a hospital bed, where he offered Hotch the chance to rejoin Order 4.
Despite announcing he must withdraw from upcoming bookings in Melbourne, Australia, and Glasgow, Scotland, there has been no indication that Ali plans to vacate the TNA International Championship.
