NASA astronauts Victor Glover and Christina Koch, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, and NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman were presented with the Congressional Space Medal of Honor by President Donald J. Trump on August 28, 2026, in recognition of their exemplary service during the Artemis II mission.

Established by Congress in 1969, the Congressional Space Medal of Honor acknowledges individuals who have distinguished themselves through exceptionally brave and meritorious contributions in the performance of duties related to space exploration, advancing the welfare of the nation and humanity. The honors list now includes 34 recipients since the inception of the U.S. space program, encompassing posthumously awarded crews of Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia missions.
