A recent investigation has uncovered that Natalie Harp, a former aide to Donald Trump, posted over 150 pro-Trump messages on a now-deactivated social media account in the hours leading up to the January 6 Capitol attack in 2021—months before she officially joined the Trump administration and began her role as a key confidante. The posts, shared on what is now known as X, included content echoing Trump’s fraudulent claims of election theft following his loss to Joe Biden in November 2020. Harp’s messages featured slogans like “FIGHT FOR TRUMP!” and “Today, DC is TRUMP COUNTRY!” alongside declarations such as “We will never give up. We will never concede!” during Trump’s speech that day.
Additional posts included “today we STOP THE STEAL!” and numerous messages aligned with Trump’s election denialists. The resurfaced social media content adds to scrutiny surrounding Harp, 35, during her tenure as Trump’s special assistant and executive assistant, roles that reportedly earned her $150,000 annually. Photos of Harp near Trump intensified media focus, alongside her publicly affectionate letters describing him as her “Guardian and Protector in this Life” and comparisons of their relationship to being “all that matters to me.” Her estranged brother has since described their bond as “unhealthy,” and Senator Jon Ossoff recently criticized Trump’s apparent focus on her during public appearances.
CNN’s findings also highlight that Harp’s account, created in 2016, contains posts from earlier years, including parallels drawn between Trump and the biblical Good Samaritan. She once wrote, “We all know the story of the Good Samaritan… But what you don’t know is I was that forgotten person on the side of the road—left to die of medical error and cancer. The Political Establishment passed me by. But @realDonaldTrump didn’t.” These reflections preceded her formal appointment to Trump’s inner circle by several years, suggesting a longstanding personal investment in his political narrative. The account now appears suspended, though it remains unclear whether Harp or X’s moderators removed the content.
Harp’s social media activity intensified in the months before January 6th, with posts like “We will never give up—for TRUTH is on our side. January 6th is coming!!” in December 2020. Further, she declared “THIS IS A COUP” following Biden’s victory and posted “WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU!” after the election. Recently, Harp’s role as Trump’s “human printer” — tasked with producing printed briefings for the president—has drawn additional attention amid ongoing controversies over her influence and proximity to Trump during his second term.
