National Rally Secures Historic First Senate Group in French Elections

Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally has achieved a major breakthrough in Sunday’s French Senate elections, securing a parliamentary group in the upper house for the very first time. According to near-final results reported by French media, the party successfully capitalized on the political momentum to establish a formal presence in the Senate.

Even before the complete official results were finalized, Le Pen took to social media to celebrate the achievement, characterizing it as an “historic victory” and a “major milestone” for the movement.

“The results have exceeded all our expectations; the breakthrough is comprehensive, confirming the growing popularity of the National Rally across the whole country,” she wrote in her announcement.
