NBA Star James Harden Booked on Misdemeanor Weapon Charge After Houston Arrest]
NBA superstar James Harden was arrested in Houston early Saturday morning and later released on bond, according to court records.
The 36-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers guard was taken into custody by the Houston Police Department at 3:41 a.m. and booked on one misdemeanor charge of unlawful carrying weapons, according to documents obtained by The California Post.
Prosecutors allege that Harden, a former Los Angeles Clippers guard, unlawfully, intentionally, and knowingly possessed a handgun in his vehicle. According to the complaint, the weapon was visible in plain view and was not carried in a holster.
Additional details regarding the circumstances of the arrest were not immediately released. Harden was granted bond later Saturday morning and is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on June 22.
