The Jets moved Jason Sanders back onto the organization’s active list after releasing him earlier when they secured Blake Grupe from waivers on Monday. The kicker returned to practice staff duties shortly thereafter.
Sanders, who missed two attempts during the team’s last preseason matchup, has re‑signed with the Jets and has been placed on the practice squad. Head coach Aaron Glenn stated at a press conference that the staff will continue evaluating which player best handles the offense’s kicking responsibilities in Week 1.
The Jets added fifteen additional players to their practice squad. All of these contributors were retained from the previous offseason, except linebacker Troy Reeder, who spent part of the summer with the Detroit Lions.
Members of the practice roster include CB Mory Bamba, WR Cam Camper, CB Jordan Clark, LB Paschal Ekeji, OL Marquis Hayes, DL Jack Heflin, RB Al‑Jay Henderson, LB Jaden Keller, LB Nate Lynn, WR Malik McClain, OL Xavier Newman, DL Payton Page, WR Jamaal Pritchett, and CB Sam Womack.
