Newcastle United are exploring an unexpected bid for Arsenal winger Noni Madueke ahead of the January transfer window. The Magpies have struggled at the start of the Premier League season, earning just five points from their first four matches. To bolster their attacking options, Madueke has surfaced as a viable target for the club’s hierarchy.
Madueke’s game time has been limited this season, as his involvement has been overshadowed by Bukayo Saka’s consistent form and fitness. This lack of opportunity may prompt the 21-year-old to seek regular football elsewhere. Newcastle appear prepared to challenge Arsenal’s commitment to retaining their player when the market reopens.
Arsenal have no intention of selling Madueke at this stage, though a substantial offer could force their hand. The Gunners invested £52 million in Madueke from Chelsea and may aim to recoup a profit. While a summer exit remains more likely, a winter deal cannot be entirely ruled out if a suitable proposition emerges.
