The NHL unveiled the schedule for the 2026-27 regular season on Thursday.
This first time in over three decades, each team will compete in 84 regular-season games—a key agreement in the newly finalized collective bargaining agreement between the NHL and Players’ Association.

The season commences on Sept. 29—a week earlier than usual—to accommodate the increased game count—and concludes on April 10.
Another structural change introduces a series of Monday matinee games, allowing European fans to watch NHLaction during their prime hours.
