Noah Kahan’s New York Concert Canceled Amid Severe Storms

The folk artist’s ‘Great Divide’ tour stop at Citi Field in Queens, slated for Saturday night (July 18), was canceled due to hazardous weather conditions, including rain showers, thunderstorms, damaging winds, and flash flooding risks.

Venue officials announced the cancellation via a statement, emphasizing safety as the priority: “This was a difficult decision, but the well-being of attendees and staff is paramount during these weather conditions.”

Kahan shared his disappointment on Instagram, stating: “Exhausted every option to make this happen.. love you guys.” A second performance scheduled for July 19 will proceed as planned, marking the finale of a two-night residency.

Originally scheduled as Night One of a two-night engagement, the rescheduled July 19 show will proceed. Meanwhile, Forest Hills Stadium also canceled Saturday’s Zeds Dead concert, blaming delays from prior storms. The event was postponed to August 14, with tickets valid for the new date and refunds available through original vendors.

Kahan’s tour has faced additional challenges, including fan misconduct at prior shows. This follows reports of audiences vandalizing venues and unsanitary conditions, prompting the artist to publicly reprimand concertgoers. Most recently, he addressed a fan who defecated in a seat instead of missing a performance, writing on X: “If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao.”

Released in April, The Great Divide fueled Kahan’s global tour, which debuted stops in Australia and New Zealand this fall, followed by UK/Ireland dates in November and European legs. Remaining tour dates and ticket information are available here and here.
