Nvidia President and CEO Jensen Huang previews his discussion with Fox Business host Liz Claman on ‘The Claman Countdown,’ focusing on the company’s gross margins and rising costs.
Huang defended his choice to ‘rip the Band-Aid off’ regarding Nvidia’s gross margins, emphasizing that the firm continues to drive some of the world’s most advanced AI models.
He also responded to speculation about possible 15% price increases, highlighting Nvidia’s role in job creation with a global workforce of about 42,000 employees.
“This quarter we decided to rip the Band-Aid off, reset expectations about our gross margins, and explain that we have now absorbed the cost increases,” Huang said during his interview with “The Claman Countdown,” which airs Thursday.

“We have also repriced our products in the market, and based on that, our margins are expected to fall from 75% to between 72% and 73% next year,” he continued. “Thus, we have reset expectations and eliminated the anxiety surrounding our gross margins.”
Huang’s remarks come after Nvidia’s strong earnings report released Wednesday evening, which alleviated investor worries about a potential slowdown in the AI boom.
Apple Raises Prices Amid Surging AI Chip Costs
Nvidia’s earnings surpassed Wall Street forecasts for its fiscal second quarter, and the company provided a robust revenue outlook for the coming fiscal year, pushing its stock up 4%.
Valued at approximately $5 trillion, Nvidia anticipates revenue exceeding $96 billion in the second quarter of fiscal 2027.

America’s AI Boom Represents a Job Opportunity, Not a Justification for Universal Basic Income
Huang, who co-founded the Santa Clara-based company in 1993, highlighted Nvidia’s role in generating substantial tech-sector employment, stating that the chipmaker is ‘creating jobs everywhere.’
According to Yahoo Finance, about half of Nvidia’s approximately 42,000 employees have a net worth exceeding $25 million.
He told anchor Liz Claman that although the AI surge is driving strong demand for Nvidia and supporting job growth, there remains a shortage of skilled workers to meet that demand.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang elaborated on the company’s impact on the technology sector and argued that its expansion is generating jobs everywhere during his appearance on ‘The Claman Countdown.’
“We’re creating more jobs than ever,” Huang said. “We’re adding positions in chip plants, packaging facilities, computer plants, and, of course, across all these AI data centers.”
“There simply isn’t enough skilled labor worldwide—and certainly not enough in the United States—to meet my full demand. However, we have sufficient capacity to support the 70% I have forecasted,” he added.
Viewers can watch Huang’s full interview on ‘The Claman Countdown’ airing Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
