While acknowledging his impactful tenure in TNA, Montana declared his immediate intention to capture the NXT Championship, also taking a jab at Grayson Waller, who had made similar claims earlier in the broadcast.
The confrontation was interrupted by Tony D’Angelo, who reminded both Montana and Waller that the championship title is currently occupied.
The tension escalated when Grayson Waller returned to the ring to launch a surprise attack on Montana, sparking widespread chaos.
In the ensuing melee, Montana attempted a massive clothesline that Waller ducked, inadvertently striking D’Angelo instead. The segment concluded with all three men locked in a heated standoff, leaving a massive target on the champion’s back.
